so... i've done it. i've decided to take the plunge. after a year of utter resistence, i have submitted to the oh so shamed concept of online dating. this decision was made obviously when i was in the most astute states of mind--post a highly mimosa infused weekend brunch with one of my other single friends in the city. about 3 mimosas in, my friend and i decided we are no longer going to complain about the lack of dating prospects in our work consumed lives. we are taking action!
i would not say that i have given up on dating. i just tied up lose ends on an all too long, long distance relationship and before that was dating a guy in the city for about 4 months. i've even just started dating someone new in the city. but i guess i'm just looking for something to mix things up. i've always longed to be the serial dater in the city (i.e. carrie in sex and the city, audrey hepburn in breakfast at tiffany's).
so i guess now is as good as ever, right? summer is here! lots of things to see and do. why not find some new good looking guys to do it with? or maybe i'm kidding myself and i'm actually truly looking for love? either way hoping to find out along the way. will keep you updated and hopefully interested. my plan is one date a week... pretty much enough to keep things spicy. i'm holding nothing back... full details... the hunks, the crazies, the dates, the standups, the cut and runs, and most importantly the hookups :)
and as the best of sports, i'll be happy to provide tips based off of my failures... and please enlighten me with your advice to help me out along the way.
